[Part 1]

Most people studying for a certification will buy a book, begin studying for it and eventually will sit the exam.

In the process, you will come up with a rought date of when you will be ready to sit for the exam. Perhaps in 2 months - 3 months - 6 months. You draw this magic timeframe out of your mind based on the time you have and how difficult the subject is.

The point is - you don't consciously plan for it.

And here is the problem with your old study habits.

You read that 800 page certification book again and again hoping more and more things will start sinking in. Eventually you get sick of the subject and book the exam hoping you won't be asked things you just couldn't understand. You are doing it the hard way. You are doing it the wrong way.

And you are taking waaaaaay too much time.
