2. Is this cert useful? It is for those businesses that use Redhat software. Ok this doesn't tell you much but think of it this way - This is a specialized certification. Get it if you are working in a comapny that uses it OR get the cert if you find plenty of jobs in your area that require it.
3. What will this Redhat certification do for you? These are the words of RedHat: "Red Hat certifications are among the most respected credentials in IT. Certifications are earned when a user demonstrates, by way of a performance-based exam, the ability to solve and perform real-world tasks."
4. What are the specs for the exam? The RHCT certificate requires passing the RHCT Certification Lab Exam. This is composed of two elements: a diagnostics and troubleshooting lab (1 hour), and system install configuration, and attachment to network (2 hours). So this certification is entirely performance based, with no multiple choice component. RHCT presents realistic problems that require planning, diagnosis, and development of complete solutions. The exams are pass or non-pass. Official notification of PASS or DID NOT PASS is sent via email within 3 business days of the Exam.
