Continue with MCSE core exams, or upgrade to MCITP?If you started with MCSE core exams, continue with them. Get the older certs and then move on to upgrades when, and if you need them.
Consider that MCSE 2000 retired in 2008! So you have plenty of time for the MCSE 2003. Another point to remember is with the MCSA and MCSE you have those certs for life. Sure eventually the technologies will become obsolete, but the point is that you don't need to recertify every 3 years like Microsoft's new policy on their newer ones. Since the MCSE 2003 is the last of its run, it will still be a buzz word for a while (the newer certs have different titles).
