Internet Explore is damaged!

by Jaime
(UK)

I've got one, I've got one!

A really cool and easy trick that I've done many times is to pick an icon on someone desktop like Internet Explorer or Firefox (an icon that they commonly click) and get it to point to another file.

This is what I do.

I create a text file and write something that I want to say to the other person like, "Internet Explorer couldn't open at the moment because a system 541900256 error has occured." Try to make it sound as authoritative as possible.

Then save this file and put it in your c: drive.

Go the icon on the desktop can right click. Where it says target, get it to point to the file you have saved on the c: drive.

Now when your friend clicks on Internet Explorer, or any other icon you have selected, your message will come up.

Its simple and most people will figure out what you have done but I still get a laugh from it.
