How a Six-Figure Information Technology Salary is within your reach

I've said many times throughout these inspirational articles that you can be and do what you want. The only ingredients are having clarity in what you want, working hard and persisting.

Most people who are getting certified aren't yet at the stage where they are making a six-figure income.

Doesn't mean though that they won't be, if that is what they really want.

There are IT professionals that are making big bucks from working in IT. If they can do it, if there is potential for it to be achieved, so can you.

The sad truth is that the higher percentage of those working in any industry don't reach the income they desire. If you think it's impossible, it's only that way because you think it. You are focusing on how it can't be done and you are (subconsciously) thinking of ways why it can't be so. You may think that I don't have the experience or knowledge to be able to each that high. Or you may even think that your peers around you don't make nearly a quarter of that.

When your environment conditions you to think small, rise above it

Depending on what background you come from, those people around you may never have seen a such a sum of money their whole life, let alone make it in a year. Doesn't mean you have to be the same.

The world goes forward when each individual goes forward. I've never gotten a job from a poor-thinking person, have you?

A poor-thinking person has never helped me reach where I want to be, expect to serve as a bad example, as an example of how not to think the way they do.

Focus on the kind of person you want to be - not the person you are now

Successful IT professionals that attract a high paying information technology salary think a certain way. What kind of way? The ability to look beyond what is their reality now. No one has succeeded on a massive scale because they thought small. The bigger your goals, the better.

Is a six-figure information technology salary a matter of positive thinking?

I wish, I wish, I wish - will never get you anything.

I do, I do, I do - will.

Work hard and work smart.

But don't be in conflict

If your aim is to make 200,000 a year, for example, and your big goal is to reach a level 2 support role, then what you desire and what you are doing, are in conflict. Reaching a level 2 support role is a small goal, not your ultimate destination one. Distinguish between the two. Look into which types of jobs do make the big bucks. Your big goal may even be to create your own company somewhere down the line. That's even better. But decide which goals are going to be your small ones - easily concurred and which is going to be your ultimate one.
