Do Comptia Certifications counts as electives towards MCTS/MCITP Certifications?
At the moment No. Comptia certifications do not count as electives towards the new MCTS / MCITP certifications. But of course that can change.
When the MCSA and MCSE first started off, they too didn't have Comptia certs listed as electives - now they do.
As an elective for the MCSA you can use the A+ with either Network+ certs or Server+. Or if you are following the MCSA security track, you can also use the Security+ cert.
As an elective for the MCSE you can use the Security+ cert.
The good thing to always do is keep yourself up to date with what is going on with the Vendors offering these certifications. Before studying for an exam, go to their websites and see if their rules have changed.
