Do Cisco or Microsoft certs pay more?

--- Asked by reader

Certs don't pay you. You get paid with what you can offer. The question is, what would you like to offer?

First, do you want to work with hardware or software?

Cisco = hardware

Microsoft = software

Next, what exactly do you want to do in the field you have selected? In other words, what do you want to specialize in? Choose a target and work your little butt off and then you won't have to ask which pays more. In many cases, you will be able to set your own salary.
