Certification Exam Help

Becoming a certification MCP microsoft professional

First find out which track you wish to follow. You become a certification MCP microsoft professional when you sit for one exam out of that track.

Except for the exam 70-058: Networking Essentials; passing this exam alone will not certify you as an MCP because it doesn't test knowledge and skills necessary for a specific job function as all other MCP exams do.

So that's first.

Next, when you look at that track and see how many exams there are, pick one to do first. The track you may follow is MCDST, MCSA, MCSE etc. These certification have multiple exams you need to sit for. So pick the first one, sit for it and you will be an MCP. Then when you complete the rest of those exams, you get certified for your MCDST, MCSA etc, whichever track you have decided to follow.

What is this certification?

It's a certification you get after completing a Microsoft exam, except the one mentioned above. All current MCP exams measure an ability to perform a set of job function–based skills with a single Microsoft product. The new MCP requirement enables individuals to acquire a certification that more closely applies to today's skill set requirements.
