Certification Exam Help

Sit for one CCNA certification exam, or two?

Why would you even consider doing 2 exams instead of just the one CCNA certification exam?

Benefit 1: Sitting for 2 exams breaks the CCNA into into two more manageable pieces

Benefit 2: Sitting for 2 exams gives you two certifications, instead of just the one (the CCENT and CCNA)

Con: Sitting for 2 exams is more painful, instead of just doing it once and getting it over and done with.

Before you could only get your CCNA one way. Pass the 640-802 and you got certified. When Cisco introduced the CCENT, it then gave you a choice of getting certified by doing two exams.

Pass the ICND1 640-822 exam and you are CCENT certified.

Then…

Pass the ICND2 640-816 exam and you are both CCENT and Cisco Certified Network Associate certified

In other words : ICND1 640-822 + ICND2 640-816 = Cisco Certified Network Associate.

Up to you how you want to do it.
