Should I buy a CCNA book to study or get a CBT?

Definitely a ccna book first. That should always be your first choice, and even better a couple of books. Then decide whether you can afford a CBT as well. I love CBTs. They are the lazy persons way of study.

Just put it in your cdrom and away you go. Drink, eat, do whatever while you are watching it and the information keeps flowing in your mind without you straining too much because you are being entertained.

But are CBT's the best way of study? No. They are only to be used as supplement study. Study your books, and when you don't feel like studying them, then pop the CBT in your computer.

For the CCNA exam, just be aware that what will cut it is lots of hands on practice as well. It's that type of exam. If I were on a budget I would choose a book first, then either routers to practice on or sims. And lastly would I contemplate a CBT for this exam.
