Which Cert is a Call Center Certification?

A call center certification can be the A+, MCP, MCDST or any entry cert really.

In entry level positions, employers are looking for basic knowledge and skills - a solid foundation which they can use to build upon.

For example...

  1. The A+ gives you an overall foundation on computer hardware and software.

  2. The MCP specializes on one specific Microsoft technology.

  3. MCDST is geared towards preparing you to assist users with troubleshooting Windows XP.

One important mistake many new people to the IT industry make is to go 'cert crazy' thinking that more certs are better.

You just need enough entry level certifications to get you your first IT job. From there, as you build experience, you will find just what in IT you wish to 'specialize' in and continue on your road to certification.
