We certify for many reasons. There are many benefits to information technology certifications that we receive, benefits that are tangible and intangible.

In any case, studying for a certification gives you more as opposed to not getting one.

If you have selected IT as your career choice, and want to succeed on a massive scale, certifications are your tickets of getting there.. I've made a small list of the benefits, some may apply to you, others many not.
